4th to 6th November 2016
Mannheim Baroque Palace East Wing
The festival is operated by the Mannheim based non-profit Association for Independent Short Film Culture in cooperation with the students' initiative Di[rec°]t of the University of Mannheim.
The association pursues three main objectives
The association's vision is to abandon the common belief that the art of filmmaking depends entirely on complex productions and high budgets. It wants to provide the permanently growing free film scene and its works with a platform to facilitate channeling of small artworks and interaction between filmmakers and the audience.
After nine successful festival editions, ClipAward has taken a breather. Their tight agendas forced the former team to make a decision to either discontinue the festival or to give it into the hands of a new generation. When suitable successors had been found, the decision to keep the ClipAward alive was easy.
Infected by the enthusiasm for the unique concept and full of excitement, the new team took the helm of the festival. It is committed to continuing the tradition of the ClipAward and celebrating its tenth anniversary.
